Overview
SurveyStar Transform is an offline-first coordinate transformation tool. It does not require an account, and it does not collect or transmit your personal data to any server we operate.
Data stored on your device
Coordinates, custom CRS definitions, and settings you enter are stored only in this app’s local storage on your device. None of it is uploaded anywhere by us.
Geodetic grid downloads
When you choose to download an optional vertical (geoid) or horizontal transformation grid, the app fetches the file directly from its public, openly-licensed source (such as NOAA or the PROJ project’s data repositories) and saves it to your device. No personal or coordinate data is included in this request, and nothing is sent to any server we operate.
Map preview (OpenStreetMap)
The optional “Show on map” feature loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap’s public tile servers. Like any map tile service, this may expose your IP address and the map area you’re viewing to OpenStreetMap’s infrastructure, subject to their own privacy policy. This only happens when you open a map preview.
External map apps
Opening a point in an external map app (e.g. Google Maps) hands your coordinates to the app you choose, installed on your device. That app’s own privacy policy applies once it opens.
No analytics, ads, or trackers
This app does not embed analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
